Bali is one of the most popular destinations for Australian tourists. Dozens of flights depart from land to the Island of the Gods every day of the week.
But in October this year, one popular flight route between Australia and Bali will be suspended.
Low-cost carrier Jetstar has confirmed the cancellation of flights between Darwin and Denpasar between 9 October and 28 October 2023.
In early July this year, representatives from Jetstar and Darwin Airports confirmed that major construction work at the airport could impact scheduling and suggested that flights could be canceled in the spring.
Tickets for travel between Darwin International Airport and I Gusti Ngurah Rai have been on sale between 9-28 October.
In a press statement, Jetstar confirmed, “We have received confirmation from the Department of Defense that runway work at Darwin Airport will resume in October.”
Jetstar is committed to supporting customers impacted by flight cancellations.
The statement continued, “We are contacting customers who booked travel during the three week business period to discuss their options, including indirect flights through other ports, travel credits, or refunds to their original form of payment.”
